I stopped trading my services a long time ago. One so-called friend would want to exchange readings. Twice I gave her a reading. When it was my turn, she said, “I’m busy and gotta go, but I’ll read for you in a couple days.” My experience with her and a few others helped me to decide on no more bartering services. Instead, pay me. Selfish? Nope! It’s my boundary and a smart business move.
Decision fatigue is real! I experienced it everyday as an elementary school teacher. The constant questions of students (“Can I go to the bathroom?” “What page is this?”, “Why can’t I go outside?” Etc etc) on top of the ones I was already asking myself was exhausting.
There are definitely times to be selfish and to stand up for yourself. Sometimes that is harder to do than others.

Omigosh, I can't imagine dozens of kid questions on top of of our own analysis paralysis! 😬
